Growing Network
Promoting and supporting community growing in Swansea to improve food security and community resilience
We are a Swansea-wide network bringing together and supporting local community food growing projects. The network is run by a management committee of volunteers representing local community growing projects and other partners.
We believe that strengthening local food resilience is vital due the uncertain future we all face in the coming months and years. Community food growing can also make a vital contribution to enabling access for all sections of the community to healthy, nutritious food and supports fitness and well-being. Where possible we are making our support available to all individuals, families, groups, farmers, everyone who is growing food in the Swansea area. We are an active member and supporter of Bwyd Abertawe food movement, which aims to make Swansea a Sustainable Food Place.
This website is only occassionally updated as we are primarily using our Facebook page to share information on growing and food, or related events, projects, funding and volunteering opportunities.
